Meet Maria
Sunshine Café is one woman’s whole heart. Maria — born in Fez, Morocco — reinvented her life to open a sunny little café in Astoria, and she still does it all herself: bakes the bread, makes the mayo and the hot sauce, squeezes the juice, and pours a Turkish coffee with a cinnamon stick.
